the View regarding to Education in Indonesia

Education in Indonesia finally in Average

The numbers of people claim that education in Indonesia has been in average. In their view that by allocating 20% of APBD since 2009 for education sector has been successfully done. Moreover, the governments view from the average of students obtaining achievement from various provinces in Indonesia; of course, it is proved. For example, in debating championship, one of the students from West Nusa Tenggara was as the representative of Indonesia in World School Debating Championship (WSDC) in Turkey. In addition,   Indonesia was as the winner of Math contest all over Asia. Besides obtaining many achievements, the result of national exam shows that education sector has been in average.

Conversely, by only allocating fund 20 % of the amount of money of APBD, it is; of course, not enough for the government stating Indonesia in average. Many things the government has to be attentively observed. There are various students cannot obtain education in the same level. This is because the observer views from the result of national exam and the achievements only. For example, in remote area, many children drop-out from their school, away from access internet and lack of facilities as well as professional teachers, while if we compare to the city it is; of course, vice versa. Furthermore, one of province in Indonesia still in low level is NTB with Human Development Index (HDI) is 32 out of 33 provinces in Indonesia. Thus, what makes government stating education in Indonesia in average?

The government should attentively think to the rural and remote area with the number of students’ drop-out of school cannot fulfill their compulsory, the standard of teachers as well as facilities. It is clearly regarded the problem of education in Indonesia in average. According to Indonesian basic law no. 11 2010 reads “government and rural government oblige to service and favor, also to make sure the implementation of the high level of education for every citizen without any discrimination.” Moreover, in law no.20 2003
